Spring Hope-Phew! Been a Long Time...

We watched as robins built this nest in our honeysuckle bush between the two rails of our backyard fence. It's been a week that one has been sitting on the eggs. Can't get too close, they zip out of the nest as soon as one approaches. Using zoom lens, did get a photo of one in profile; had to stand at least 20 ft. away.

The awe of new life!

  1. Love the robin photos! We don't have those on the desert, so it is always nice to see them.

Sorry to hear about your diabetes diagnosis. My husband has been on insulin for more than 40 years, which is a surprise to all his doctors that he has lived this long with it. I learned how to cook for a diabetic early on so it is second nature to me now. If you want any suggestions, let me know. You should feel thankful, though, that now there is a sweetener called Splenda. We have gone through many artificial sweeteners and they were less than adequate, but Splenda is the best we have used.

Good luck on your continuing monitoring and treatment.
